The First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan, yesterday arrived in Rivers State after remaining incommunicado for close to two weeks after her husband, President Goodluck Jonathan, conceded defeat in the historic presidential election to the march 28 president-elect, Gen Muhammadu Buhari.
Mrs. Jonathan received tumultuous welcome from her kinsmen on arrival in Okrika, her home-town.
We gathered that the president’s wife held a close- door meeting with the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state, Chief Nyesom Wike, before leaving for Okrika.
But the details of the meeting remained sketchy as at the time of filing this report. But inside sources said the meeting had to do with how the PDP could win the governorship election in the state on Saturday.
