IKPEAZU AND HIS ANTICS

The proposed visit to Abia State by the Vice president Prof. Yemi Osinbajo has been described as an executive one day working visit but the Governor of Abia State Okezie Ikpeazu has a different plan all together.

The information made available to our news room through some aides to the Governors personal friends and Commissioners,Hon. Eziuche Ubani (works) and Hon.Obinna Oriaku (Finance) says that the governor told his friends in confidence that the new deal being brokered between him  and the Vice President Osinbajo has given him renewed confidence in defeating his opponents at the supreme court and that he wants to use the presidents absence to make sure that he wraps his deals at the judiciary.

According to our sources,Dr. Ikpeazu said that though joining APC is one of his considerations but it is not in his agenda for now, that his topmost priority is to win all his pending cases at the supreme court and that Prof.Osinbajo being a senior advocate and the Vice President,  according to Dr. Ikpeazu has promised him that he has the capacity to instruct the Chief Justice of the Federation to make sure that all the pending cases against him is settled in his favour.

Dr. Ikpeazu who boasted that he has bought over the judiciary through Dr. Okey Enelama the minister of trade and commerce to enable him  actualise his supreme court victory also said that he cajoled the Minister by believing  that as soon as  he is promised the APC state structure, 2019 governorship ticket and victory at the supreme courts he will decamp to the APC. He told the Commissioners that he will teach the APC party a lesson as he is a staunch PDP member and will do anything to bring them down by promising anything to achieve the judgement.

However,the Abia state government is said to have written off N600M as money meant to be used in hosting the Vice President while as the same visit in Delta State costed less than N50M for the Delta State government to host same guest. This is the height of impunity of this spendthrift governor who is specialty in siphoning Abia treasury.

We call on the EFCC,anti graft agencies and other relevant authorities to move their searchlight towards Abia and the activities of the spendthrift governor. It's also good that Gov. Ikpeazu should be cautioned about what he says in the name of given his gullible followers fake hopes on how close he is with the VP whom it's very glaring that his integrity gained him the trust the nation has for him. Prof. Yemi Osinbajo is a legal luminary that is wildly respected across the continent and shouldn't be dragged into cheap politics of Ikpeazu's struggle.
