Rio Ferdinand Reveals One Question He Would Have Loved To Ask His Late Wife Who Died Of Cancer

Former footballer Rio Ferdinand has revealed the final words he would say to his beloved late wife Rebecca if he was given one more minute to spend with her.

The father-of-three fought back tears as he said he would ask his wife, who died from breast cancer in 2015, how she wanted him to parent their children. He added: '[I would] tell her I love her... There's loads.'

The ex-Manchester United player joined stars including Mary Berry, Joey Essex and Ben Fogle to talk about the pain of losing a loved one for a new charity video.

In the heart-wrenching Child Bereavement UK clip, the celebrities each reveal what they would say if they had 'one more minute' to speak to someone they have lost.

Rio became visibly upset as he said to the camera: 'If I was able to have one more minute with Rebecca, I'd probably, well I'd definitely, ask her about what she wanted with the children growing up at different stages, poignant moments in their development... Tell her I love her.' Voice cracking, he added: 'There's loads.'
