Billie Eilish responds after being slut shamed for posting rare bikini photo

Billie Eilish has hit back after keyboard warriors criticised her for a 'tame' social media post.

The Grammy award winning singer, 18, is notorious for donning baggy and outrageous clothes in a bid to hide her body and her feminine silhouette.

The reason she chooses to dress this way is partially due to the fact she doesn't want to be sexualized in any way, and also because she has issues with her body image and the way she looks.

Despite this, the talented singer has opened up about being 's**t-shamed' earlier this year, simply due to the fact that she had her shoulders on display for the first time ever.

Billie was inundated with comments from furious fans who claimed she had contradicted herself after she shared a 'tame' video of herself from the shoulders up in a bikini while on vacation in Hawaii with friends.

Opening up to Vogue magazine about the unpleasant backlash, the beauty insisted that she feels like she 'can't win' no matter what she does.

She explained: "It was trending. There were comments like, 'I don't like her anymore because as soon as she turns 18 she's a wh**e.' Like, dude. I can't win. I can-not win".

"I just hated my body. I would have done anything to be in a different one, and when I finally show a glimpse I get that reaction".

The singer explained that when she was younger, all she wanted to be was a model, but she was too short and felt 'too chubby'.

This lead to her having negative thoughts about her body image, and wanting to hide it away from the world.

Billie told Vogue: "I really wanted to be a model, really bad, and I was chubby and short. I developed really early. I had boobs at nine. I got my period at 11. So my body was going faster than my brain".

Thankfully, Billie is more confident in herself now, and is not afraid to show off a little skin after years of battling with demons.

The star admitted that she still doesn't love her body, but she's finally learned to like it.

While she has decided to keep her signature look for the past number of years, the 18-year-old singer insists that even if she did feel like wearing a dress and showing some skin, she would be criticised for it.

Stressing that her fans don't react well to change, she explained: "People get angry no matter what move I make. If I wear a dress, they'll be like 'You've changed, how dare you do what you've always rebelled against?'."

It comes after the Bond theme singer revealed that she is being “introverted and lonerish ” while in self-isolation amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Speaking on the Telekom Electronic Beats podcast Billie explained: "I’ve been really enjoying being alone. I feel like everybody on the internet has been on FaceTime all day long with their friends.

"I love my friends, I can’t wait to see them, I do miss them a lot, but at the same time... I’m good".
