BREAKING NEWS: Nigerian Senate Passes bill granting full autonomy to LGAs and Council Area in Nigeria

The Nigerian Senate, on Tuesday, passed the Bill granting full autonomy to the local government and council areas in Nigeria.

Ninety-Two members of the red chambers voted overwhelmingly in support of the Bill, after a clause-by-clause consideration at the Committee on the Whole.

***  A Bill for An Act to alter the Constitution of the FRN, 1999 to abrogate State Joint LG Acct & provide for a special account into which shall be paid all allocations due to LG Councils from the Federation Account & from the Govt of d State& for related matters
